This
is me outside the house in Stuyvesant Town, where
we first lived on Union Square in downtown Manhattan.
I had joined Hunter College at 68th & Lex - working
during the day and attending school at night. I have
always loved the New York winter. |

I
studied painting as my major from Hunter College of
the City University of New York, along with English
and Psychology and also American Theatre |

Any
other time that I got after my work and night school,
I packed in with music - did this Indian Music program
called Rang Mahal for WHBI-FM which was broadcast
every Tuesday night from 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm - a little
radio station for ethnic programs at South Sea Seaport
near Brooklyn Bridge. Also it gave me an opportunity
to interview some famous personalities visiting New
York from the Bombay film world. |

My
first art show ever - a wayside exhibition where all
students lined up with their works - along 14th Street
near NYU |
